DeFelsko PosiTest (Magnetic / mechanical coating thickness gauge)
The PosiTest gauge provides fast, non-destructive measurement of paint, plating, and coatings on steel substrates via magnetic pull-off. Its design includes a durable carbide probe, positive reading indicator, and “V” grooves for cylinders. No batteries are required, making it reliable for field operations under harsh conditions.
Features
No electronics or batteries—uses magnet + calibrated spring to measure thickness
High durability probe tip for long service life
Confirms when a valid measurement is established
Allows proper contact positioning on cylindrical parts
Resistant to mechanical shock, water, acids, solvents
